The Tourism Industry AssociationRecognition Awards, or TIARsA Awards, highlight excellence and creative accomplishment in travel marketing and The Farmington Convention and Visitorse Bureau, which hosted the TANM took home the award for best brochure. The villager of Chama won an honorable mention for itsvisitorsx guide. The best Web site honor went to the Chocolat e TurtleBed & Breakfast in Corrales. Buffall Thunder Resort & Casino received honorabler mention. Buffalo Thunder took top honorx for best print advertising and for outstandinb new event for its grandr openinglast year.
The Rio Rancho Convention and Visitor’zs Bureau “Pork & was named top outstanding recurring event. Roswell’s UFO Festival earnes an honorable mention inthat category. The most innovative promotioh award went to the Albuquerque Convention and Visitors BureayuHoliday Video, “Life of a Brown Paper Bag.” The awardd for most successful public relations effort was dividecd into three categories. Bishop’s Lodge Rancuh Resort & Spa won the privates sector category for its 90thanniversary celebration.
The Albuquerque Conventionn and Visitors Bureau earned top kudosx for itsmedia kit, with the town of Taos takinbg honorable mention for its annual public relations campaign. And the top awarde for press tours went tothe state’s Nortj Central Tourism Region. Next year’s Governor’s Conference on Tourism, co-sponsored by TANM and the New MexicloTourism Department, will be at Buffalok Thunder Resort & Casino in Santa Fe, April 19-21.
